Growing Forward has announced a new renewable energy program for Alberta farmers.

The Renewable Energy Program (Solar PV Pilot) provides funding to Alberta farmers to help install renewable energy generation technologies on their farms.  Up to $19500 of funding is available to eligible farms in Alberta.  Although the first test phase of this program was fully subscribed in less than one week, there may be additional phases, so act quickly!

Who can apply?

The Solar PV Equipment grant is available to any Alberta farmer with annual gross farm income greater than $10,000, and who is eligible for a Farm Fuel number. All farm types and sizes that meet these criteria are eligible.

Qualifying applicants must also have a Growing Forward registration number. This number is required to apply to any Growing Forward programs. You only need to register for it once. If you have not already done so, click here to access the general Growing Forward registration forms.

If you would like assistance in applying for this grant, you can contact Geoff Domenico at KCP Energy: info@kcpenergy.com
