Remi Schmaltz

Chief Executive Officer & Director
Remi is a proven Ag-Business leader with a true entrepreneurial passion. Experienced in driving revenue in agriculture, raising capital, structuring strategic partnerships, and building businesses. When it comes to knowing the agriculture industry he has a proven track record of success. In 2006, Remi and his brother took over the family Ag-retail (Dynagra) and starting incubating the next technologies in farming, resulting in the launching of Decisive Farming in 2011. Then in 2012 after growing revenue to over $30MM they sold the family business (DynAgra) to a fortune 500 company, CHS Inc. Today, Remi is leading the charge with Decisive Farming and focused on the next era of agriculture, the digital farm.


Tasha Schmaltz

Chief Product Officer & Director
Tasha brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the team from his 8 years as General Manager at CHS and DynAgra. As Chief Product Officer and Variable Rate Technology patent holder, Tasha has proven success delivering innovations that solve challenges facing modern farming.


Brett Duffy

Chief Financial Officer (Minneapolis)

Brett adds global leadership to Decisive Farming management team, with over 20 years of multi-national agricultural experience; ranging from being the co-founder of BDA Capital and his broad experience over the 16 years he was at Cargill. Brett had an active role in BDA Capital’s agricultural investments in the US and Russia. Most recently prior to joining Decisive in a full-time role, Brett was the CFO and co-founder of Pipeline Foods; the leading North American sustainable supply chain for organic and other specialty crops. Also, Brett served as the chairperson of Decisive’s board for 3 years prior to joining as the CFO.


Whitney Rockley

Chairperson (Toronto)
Whitney is Co-founder and Managing Director of McRock Capital, a venture capital firm focused exclusively on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). She has over 20 years of investment, operating and strategic planning experience from the power, water and oil & gas industries. She is refreshingly real and passionate about women-in-tech and inspiring girls to get into STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math).

She currently serves on the boards of RtTech SoftwaremnuboInvixium and Serious Integrated in addition to being the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Venture Capital Association.


Karl Stillner

Director (Seattle)
Karl is co-founder and CEO of PushSpring, a mobile app data management platform. Prior to founding PushSpring, he was the CEO of Appolicious and the CFO of Mobiata, which he sold to Expedia in 2010. Karl first starting working in tech in 2003 at AT&T Wireless and has focused on wireless since then. He holds a Masters from the Wharton School of Business and a BA from Northwestern.
