More Ag Retail acquisitions in Alberta

In the past couple of weeks six other ag-retail locations have been purchased by Agrium, Vittera and other large players in the market place.  On the new acquisition list we have the following:

B&B Ag Services- Mossleigh, Ab purchased by P&H

Eco Seeds- Fairview and Rycoft, Ab purchased by James Richardson International (Pioneer)

Crowfoot Agro- Daysland, Ab purchased by Agrium’s Crop Production Services Canada

Best-Land Agro- Brunkild, Mb purchased by Vittera

Morse Bros – Starbuck, Mb purchased by Vittera

The market continues to consolidate leaving fewer and fewer choices for the grower in the market place.  The list of independent ag-retailers that are not controlled by Agrium and Vittera is becoming very short.
