FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Team Laycock and Decisive Farming shoot for Olympic Trials and continue promoting Curling in Saskatchewan.
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – July 19, 2013.
Team Laycock and Decisive Farming are proud to announce the continuation of a great partnership for the 2013-2014 curling season.
Decisive Farming will once again be giving Team Laycock the opportunity to train and compete with the top teams in the world for the upcoming 2013-2014 season as they look to make a run for the Olympic Games as they are the only Saskatchewan Men’s team qualified for the Olympic Trials process. “With their help, we believe our team can pull through the Olympic Pre-trials and give ourselves a 1 in 8 shot at representing Canada at the Olympics. We look forward to working alongside Decisive Farming in growing the ‘Decisive Farming Curling Tour’ after a great first year; We would like to thank Decisive Farming for the great support over the last year and into next,” says the team’s third, Kirk Muyres.
The continued partnership with Decisive Farming will not only allow the team members to train and compete with the best in the world, but they will continue promoting the sport in communities across Saskatchewan through the ‘Decisive Farming Curling Tour,’ which saw the team attending junior curling clinics in Prince Albert, Naicam, and North Battleford. During the 2013-2014 curling season, Team Laycock will continue to grow the sport and engage the province’s youth, both in the schools and on the ice.
“Supporting Curling is one way in which we can support our communities and our rural roots,” says Remi Schmaltz, CEO of Decisive Farming. “Curling has always been key to creating sustainable communities in the prairies, much like Variable Rate Technology is doing by optimizing production within fields. Decisive Farming will to continue to partner with team Laycock and help propel them and farmers to the next level.”
